AWARD

Up to $1500. Proposals are due January 5th, 2026. Winners are announced at the FCMEA Annual Business Meeting every January.

PURPOSE

The FCMEA Creative Exploration Grant is designed to support active FCMEA members who engage in research, creative activities, and/or projects that align with the mission of the association. Priority consideration will be given to proposals that align with the purpose of FCMEA which is to: (1) address common or specific issues in higher education, (2) advance college and university music programs, (3) promote communication between colleges and universities, and (4) promote teaching at the collegiate level.

ELIGIBILITY

Active membership in the Florida College Music Educators Association.

PROPOSAL GUIDELINES

Provide (a) title and brief description of the creative exploration, (b) purpose, (c) desired outcomes, (d) strategic reason for FCMEA to consider the proposal, and (e) anticipated completion date, amount requested, and intended use of funding.

Proposal Review Procedures

Proposals are evaluated in a blind-review process by the FCMEA Board of Directors. Reviewers will consider the following criteria: (a) does the proposal meet all submission criteria? (b) does the purpose align with the mission of FCMEA?, (c) is the proposal described and clearly stated? (d) what is the significance of this creative exploration?
